Monday Workshops in April

Don’t miss the opportunity to hone your tango skills with these fantastic teachers. Work on your leading skills with the ever popular and fun Eddy Hernandez; your follower skills with the elegant and precise Monica Paz – both classes for all levels. For advanced beginners, Laure Lion will host a class on April 14 to work on combining the skills you have to make your dancing more interesting; and for those a bit more advanced, come understand your balance and how it affects your dancing with Ana and Diego.

  • March 31 – Ana and Diego
Balance and Communication: Understanding how balance works will open doors to a dialog when you dance. (Intermediate and Up)
  • April 7 – Eddy Hernandez
Leaders Technique, Tango in Depth: Understanding the real role of the leader in Tango. Technical structure of the movements from the leaders part and how to transmit them properly to the follower to keep a perfect connection. Posture, balance, transferring and control of the levels of energy to get the right answer from your partner. Leading organically better than mechanically. Work on the language of improvisation. (All levels)
  • April 14 – Laure and Rob
Combining the Elements: This workshop is designed to help students improve their navigating skills using steps they already know and creating sequences. This is a great way to review the patterns you have leaned and gain more fluidity to your dance. Explore and recognize what sequences work for specific orchestra so you are more at ease with lead and follow. (Adv. Beg.)
  • April 21 – Monica Paz
Follower’s Technique: Work on different items in progress to achieve accompaniment to our partner with confidence, precision, elegance and femininity. (All Levels)

Rates:
1 workshop: $35
2 workshops: $60
