Don't know how to tango? Check out the classes at Triangulo.
Join us at Triangulo on Tuesdays nights, from 9:30pm til 12:30am, for one of the oldest and most popular regular milongas in the city. That's three and a half hours of delightful dancing for just $10 ($8 before 10pm or anytime for Triangulo students and full-time students with valid student ID). BYOB! This is the milonga where:
... The floor is the smoothest.
... The mood is the grooviest.
There will be a good mix of traditional and nuevo tango music.
* Historical note: It was called the "Meat Market Milonga" because we used to be in the heart of the Meatpacking District / Meat Market. When Triangulo first opened its doors back in 1997, dancers would walk the cobble stone streets of the Meatpacking District and come up to the studio located above the Two Flags Butcher Supply Co.
Join us at twilight for one of New York's most relaxed and friendly
milongas, and dance the work week out of your system! Not for nothing,
some of the best milongas in Buenos Aires are in the afternoon.
Admission: $10.
Hosts: Richard & Maura.
We know that it can be a bit intimidating at first to step onto the dance floor at a milonga (although we encourage you to just go for it!). So, with that in mind, we are providing this practice session designed specifically for beginner to intermediate dancers. We invite you to join us in this friendly environment, a relaxed practice space where you can try out your moves amongst classmates and dancers at your level. Admission is just $5 for Triangulo students. And, of course, non-Triangulo students are welcome (for just $7).
