MAYTIME at TRIANGULO

your friendly neighborhood Tango Studio

1. a new intro to tango class

First of all, we are so happy to report that TOTALLY FREE TANGO CLASSES in April was such a TOTAL RESOUNDING SUCCESS, bringing large bushelfuls of curious beginners into our Web of Tango. You will surely see their timid yet awestruck faces if you hang around the studio, as we all are increasingly doing these-a-days. I heartily encourage each and every one of you to ask them to dance, if you've got a little extra room on your dance card or if you are particularly touched by their awestruck timidity. Remember, we've all been there!

So anyway, TOTALLY FREE TANGO CLASSES was so successful that now we are filled to the gills with freshfaced tangueros and tangueras! And so, in May, we will NOT be offering TOTALLY FREE TANGO CLASSES, but instead we have introduced as a permanent fixture to our schedule, an all-new Intro to Tango class.

"Intro to Tango" is for your friends and friends of friends who want to try out TANGO but don't want to commit. And believe me, we can all understand what THAT'S about. It's a $5 class that Carina teaches near the beginning and end of the month (the next date is friday june first) just to give those wonderers and wanderers a taste of What It Is To Tango. So do tell the world! This is also a great way for experienced leaders to try out the basics of following and visa-versa.

2. more news about la milonguita extraordinaire

I am also exceedingly happy to report that LA MILONGUITA (Fridays, 8:30 - 11:30) has continued to grow and today can be most accurately decribed as basically One Damn Fun Party. Extraspecial Kudos to the bakers and chefs - including but not limited to, Ken, Bruce, and Peter - who continue to bring in delectable handcrafted munchies. Check out Milonguita Recipebook!

3. an exciting milonga workshop series

Well, I've saved the Very Best for Last. I know you are all wondering - "This is all very nice, but what in God's holy name am I going to do for Tango classes during the last week in May when Triangulo is closed for regular classes for Intercession???" Took the words right out of your mouth, did I? Well have not fear because we are offering a MILONGA WORKSHOP SERIES on TUESDAY MAY 29th! That's right, two (2) classes specifically geared toward Milonga:

In case you don't know Mr. Angel Garcia, our Featured Guest Instructor - well I should note here that he has been referred to as a veritable King of Milonga, and this workshop promises to be illuminating, exciting, inspiring, fun, and of course exceedingly syncopated! All advanced milonga dancers should therefore immediately make a note of it in your calendar at this precise moment. I conveniently include a pregnant pause in my prose so that you can do this right now:                 Okay. Done? Allright. By the way, each Milonga Workshop costs $20.

Happy Dances!
