Triangulo presents...the best of San Francisco Tango

Hello Triangulitos!

So you've heard about San Francisco Tango. Those West-coast dancers are rumored to be among the most creative, passionate, and free-spirited ones around, particularly in their exploration of the young 'Tango Nuevo' style of dance. In the spirit of cross-coast collaboration and learning, Triangulo has chosen to welcome one of San Francisco's premier dancers and teachers to the studio for a special, one-time-only workshop evening...

The Dynamics of the Hang
Friday March 29th, 7:30 pm

After a brief ballet/jazz stretch warm-up, Santiago and Carina will break down the dynamics of Colgadas or "hangs", a hallmark of the ever-popular, exceedingly challenging and thrillingly elusive 'Tango Nuevo' or open style (which all the hep tango cats are dancing these days.) Do we all want to know How To Hang? Of course we do! Santiago has studied extensively with the Maestros - Gustavo, Chicho, Pablo et al - and promises to bring us a fresh new way to incorporate shared axis turns into our dancing.

Cost is just $20 which includes cover for the Friday night Milonguita!
(Which will be an occasion to Hang around in our usual Triangulo elegance and friendly sophistication!!)
