It's time! Come celebrate with us this Saturday, September 8th as we officially unveil New York's 'School of Tango' -- circa 2007, the highly awaited mural spanning Triangulo's east wall painted by acclaimed painter and muralist Russell J. Buckingham. This event also commemorates the one-year anniversary of Triangulo's relocation to its beautiful Chelsea location and brings to a close much of the renovations that have accompanied the move. The night will begin with a milonga at 9pm, with the unveiling ceremony commencing at 10:30pm. We'll have refreshments, live music, and Carina will DJ! Hope to see you there!
...Barridas, or "sweeps." Like a magnetic push or pull, the leader appears to sweep the follower's foot with their own, creating a smooth gliding pattern across the floor. Learn the inside and outside barrida, as well as how to control the motion correctly (hint: it's not with the foot!), then impress your friends with this tango "illusion."
