“Connection”-we hear that word a lot in Tango but it can appear to us as something rather mystical and nebulous. So what do we mean when we talk about “connection”, and how do we get it?!
The dictionary defines connection as “to join, combine, unite, relate…” And there is a lot that we can do, both in our own bodies and in the way we touch our partners, in order to develop better communication and connection in the dance.
And in this course we will work together with exercises (both solo and in partnership) and with partnered combinations to help us develop greater skills-and enable greater connections!

What makes a great Follower?
It’s not the dress, or the shoes, or even what you look like; it’s what the Follower is doing inside the partnership to create a wonderful experience for both themself and their partner.
In this course we will work with some of the Tips and Tricks of good Followers, a bit of embellishing, and exercises both individually and with fellow Followers.
You can wear practice shoes or heels and all genders are welcome but the focus will be on Follower techniques!
